Job Description

• Registered Nurse specializing in Oncology care.
• Provide nursing care in an oncology setting during the night shift.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kansas.
• Minimum of 2 years of Oncology nursing experience, with Oncology experience within the last year.
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Certification.
• MOAB Moderate Risk De-Escalation Training.
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Onboarding and Compliance Requirements

Professional Documentation

• Resume/Profile required for submission.
• At least two professional references required prior to first assignment.
• Criminal background check including Social Security Trace, OIG Search, National Sex Offender Registry, and others within 90 days of assignment start.
• Employment verification for the past seven years.
• Signed assignment agreement required prior to onboarding.
• Completion of onboarding education attestation and contract worker onboarding modules.
• Forward-facing badge photo with white or blue background (no alterations).

Health and Safety

• Ascension Color Vision test completed prior to start and updated every 3 years.
• Ascension Core Competencies completed within one year of start and updated every 3 years (minimum 80% passing score, max two attempts).
• Ascension EKG Exam with a passing score of at least 80%, updated every 3 years.
• Ascension Cerner Test-Out with signed attestation.
• Ascension Skills Checklist completed within one year of start and updated annually.
• Ascension 12 Panel Drug Screen within 30 days prior to start and updated annually.
• Fit Test required prior to start (preferred) or onsite; updated annually.
• Health Statement or physical exam prior to first assignment, updated annually.

Immunizations and Health History

• MMR: Documented proof of two vaccines or positive IGG titer; no declinations accepted.
• Varicella: Documented proof of two vaccines, immunity, or history verified by healthcare provider; no declinations accepted.
• Tdap: Valid within 10 years; no declinations accepted.
• Hepatitis B: Documentation of vaccination series completion or signed declination.
• Influenza vaccine is optional; if declined during flu season, mask wearing is required.
• TB screening: 2-step PPD or IGRA within required timeframes; if positive, chest X-ray and annual TB questionnaire required.

Additional Notes

• Driver’s license or state ID must be current, show front and back, and address must match records.
• Some onboarding documents and training modules must be completed prior to clearance or onsite.
• Optional onboarding checklist may be required by unit leader within one week of start.
