Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU

Location: Greenville, Ohio
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts)
Hours per Week: 36

Unit and Patient Population

• 6-bed ICU unit functioning as a high acuity step-down and low acuity ICU
• Current COVID unit for the hospital
• Patient types include MICU and SICU (medical and surgical ICU) patients; trauma patients are transferred out
• Common diagnoses: Sepsis, COPD, DKA, overdose, renal issues, surgical cases, respiratory issues
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2

Work Environment and Expectations

• Rural community hospital setting, approximately 2 hours from Indianapolis and Columbus
• EMR system: CPSI-Evident
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday work: Typically not required for travelers, but depends on schedule and permanent staff availability
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Orientation: One shift of floor orientation provided
• Floating: Expected to float to Telemetry-MedSurg unit
• PPE: Adequate supply; N95 masks used for 24 hours then discarded
• ECG exam required on first day

Required Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

• Immediate start preferred
