Sonographer (Ultrasound Tech) - Kansas
Job Details
- Location: Dodge City, Kansas
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM) or 8-hour shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- Weekend/Holiday: On-call only (rotating call weekdays/weekends)
- Call Requirement: Rotate through on-call weekdays and weekends; call frequency may be 2-3 times Monday through Friday, 6 PM to 7 AM; weekends strictly on-call only
- Work Setting: Hospital environment
- Typical Workload: Approximately 10 scans/studies per day
- Imaging Equipment: Two GE machines and one Phillips machine
- EMR/PACS Systems: Epic and Synapse
- Department Size: 3 scanners/rooms
- Floating: No floating or coverage of other areas required
- Radiologist Availability: In-house radiologist present on Wednesdays
- IV Starts: Not required
Job Responsibilities
- Perform general ultrasound, including OB/GYN, small parts, Dopplers (legs/arms), and echocardiograms (Echos)
- Work primarily with general ultrasound and echo studies
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule
Required Qualifications
- Certification: ARDMS (RDMS with OB, AB, General) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency
- Experience: Must have skills and experience in general ultrasound, OB/GYN, small parts, and Doppler studies
- Driver’s license must be submitted for radius verification (60 miles)
- Clinicians must be in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are remote
