Registered Nurse (Med Surg) - Travel Position
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with acute care/medical-surgical experience to work a travel contract on a Medical 4 South unit.
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Medical Surgical
- Number of Beds: 30
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
- EMR System: Epic
- Equipment: Standard acute care equipment
Work Schedule
- Shift Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekend Coverage: Every 3rd weekend (Friday & Saturday) plus at least 2 Sundays in 6 weeks
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Call Requirements: None
- Float Requirements: Must be able to float to like units
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- At least 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in acute care or medical-surgical specialty
Additional Details
- Must be available every day during the first week of orientation for onboarding
- Personality fit: Positive, team player with a flexible work schedule
- Dress Code: Navy scrubs; hoodies, non-scrub jackets, and crocs are not allowed
- Reporting Location: Heart Center, 4th floor; parking available in designated yellow-lined spots near ER
This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs seeking a medical-surgical assignment with a consistent night shift schedule and a supportive team environment.
