Description

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Location: Ashland, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights (12-hour shifts, typically 7pm–7:30am)
Hours per Week: 36 hours


Job Overview

  • Work independently during night shifts (2400-0700) with backup from House Supervisor and ER physician available 24/7.
  • Emergency Room (ER) and Critical Care duties in a small ER setting.
  • Unit has 7 rooms and 8 gurneys.
  • No floating to other units required.
  • Dress code: scrubs or nursing uniforms (most staff wear scrubs).

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (all required).

Orientation & Training

  • 12 hours of non-billable orientation during the first work week (typically one 12-hour night shift).
  • Computer charting training provided on unit.

Additional Information

  • Local candidates are not accepted; there is a 50-mile radius restriction.
  • Call-off/cancellation allowed up to 24 hours per 13-week contract.
  • Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation.
  • EMS shifts are not available.
  • Schedule includes every other weekend, with a combination of 8- and 12-hour shifts during day and evening hours (Sunday through Saturday work week).
