Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - ICU

Location: Waco, Texas
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Shift: 06:45 AM – 07:15 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work in a conglomerate ICU unit covering medical, surgical, and cardiovascular patients.
  • Must be able to float between critical care service lines, including ICU and step-down units.
  • Minimum of 3 years of ICU nursing experience required.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years of Critical Care Float experience, including within the last year
  • Experience in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid Driver’s License

Additional Information

  • Flu season mask policy applies if influenza vaccine is declined.
  • Optional unit-specific checklist may be required by unit leadership within one week of assignment start.
  • Post-assignment surveys and evaluations may be requested but are optional.

This ICU RN role requires a minimum of 3 years ICU experience with flexibility to float between ICU and step-down units. Candidates must maintain current licensure, certifications, and complete specialty competency exams. Comprehensive health screenings, immunizations, and background verifications are mandatory. The assignment is a 13-week long-term contract with a day shift schedule.
