Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
Location: Saginaw, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days
Hours per Day: 12
Job Description
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process, including ongoing assessment and skilled nursing interventions based on physician-authorized plans of care.
- Administer medications, treatments, patient education, assist with transfers, respond to alarms, and other nursing duties.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to update and improve patient care.
- Function as a team leader/member and resource, delegating and overseeing support staff.
- Comply with all local, state, federal regulations, and hospital policies related to patient care.
- Patient ratio target: 1 nurse to 4-6 patients.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU), including experience within the last year
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Active NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

- The facility is a full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care, level II trauma center, and Comprehensive Stroke Center.
- Provides advanced surgical care, specialty care including stroke, spine, cancer, orthopedics, and women’s health.
- Utilizes robotic-assisted technology and offers respiratory therapy and rehabilitation services on campus.
