Registered Nurse (RN) – Long Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility

Location: Canton, South Dakota
Contract Length: 4 weeks
Shift: Evening, Night
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Work in a Long Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) with 42 beds.
• Patient population includes LTC residents with a mix of memory care, dementia, and orthopedic cases.
• No current behavioral risk patients.
• Nurse staffing ratio: 2 nurses during day/evening shifts, 1 nurse at night.
• Shifts available are 8 or 12 hours, primarily 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM every other weekend and holiday.
• Weekend and holiday work required every other occurrence.
• Orientation includes building orientation and training on lifts, lasting approximately 2-4 hours.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: PCC.

Required Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in South Dakota.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in Long Term Care facilities.
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification.

Additional Information

• No on-call or call-back duties.
• Backouts or quits with less than 14 days’ notice will incur a fee.
• Local rates apply within 80 miles or if using provided housing.
• No charge differential at this facility.
