Registered Nurse - Postpartum / Mom Baby (Travel)

Unit Information
- Birthing Center Labor & Delivery (Postpartum)
- Unit beds: 29
- Staff per shift:
- Day: 1 CNC/charge nurse, 3-4 RNs
- Night: 1 CNC/charge nurse, 2-3 RNs
- Patient ratio: 4-6 patients per nurse
- Equipment used: Welch Allen vital signs machines, CPN monitors, Point-of-Care Glucose monitoring
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech / CPN
Typical Procedures and Patient Population
- Post-operative care for gynecological surgeries, urogynecology surgeries, ectopic pregnancies
- Management of high-risk pregnancies requiring hospitalization (e.g., PPROM, Preeclampsia, Placenta Previa, Preterm Labor)
- Fetal monitoring including Non-Stress Tests (NSTs)
- Care for GYN oncology post-op patients, women’s health med-surg cases
- Postpartum care for NICU moms and readmitted postpartum complications
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Kansas
- Minimum 1 year of postpartum nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Obstetrics (OB)
- Medical-surgical nursing experience
- Gynecology experience
Additional Information
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to stay busy are highly valued
- Patient care experience is a priority
- Must adhere to established standards of behavior and unit policies
