Registered Nurse - Electrophysiology (EP)

Location: Nashville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 (4 x 10-hour shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM)

Unit Overview

• Unit: Cath Lab (includes Electrophysiology Lab)
• Beds/Rooms: 11 procedure rooms (5 cath, 4 EP, 2 hybrid OR)
• Patient-to-Staff Ratio: 1 patient to 3 staff
• Floating Policy: Only float to prep and recovery areas
• Equipment: GE and Philips x-ray systems, Volcano IVUS/FFR, Merge Hemo
• Documentation Systems: Merge Hemo and Meditech

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and circulate during cath lab and/or EP procedures
• Support advanced cardiac procedures including:

  • Cath Lab: diagnostic cath, PCI, Rotoblator, laser atherectomies, ECMO, TAVR, MitrClips, Watchman, IVUS, FFR, complex PCI, CTO, Shockwave, Pernumbra
  • EP Lab: EP studies, pacemakers, ICDs, ablations (excluding cryo ablations), Micra pacemakers, loop recorders, lead extractions including laser lead extractions

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Electrophysiology Lab experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
