Operating Room Circulator Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Clarkston, Washington
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, Monday to Friday (5 shifts of 8 hours), with rotating call coverage
Hours per Week: 36

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the operating room as a circulating and/or scrub nurse.
• Promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process and collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members.
• Provide physical and psychological support to patients, families, and friends.
• Supervise assigned team members.
• Ensure nursing care complies with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain the work area and participate in 24-hour call coverage.
• Use nursing assessment skills to recognize post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Washington.
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room circulating experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Current PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
