Registered Nurse - Med Surg

Location: Waycross, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Provide nursing care on a 24-bed Medical-Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital staff.
• Float opportunities to other Med Surg units, Emergency Department (ED), or ICU/PCU to care for Med Surg level patients.
• Utilize standard hospital equipment and document care using Meditech Expanse.
• Participate in bedside shift reports and safety rounding.

Unit Details

• Unit Secretary available on day shift.
• Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) staffing ratio ranges from 1:8 to 1:12.
• Dress code requires navy blue uniform.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia.
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Scheduling & Work Hours

• 36 hours per week.
• Scheduled for 2 weekends per month.
