Registered Nurse – Emergency Department
Location: Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Provide nursing care in a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department with a 40-bed unit and a patient ratio of 1:6. The patient population includes all ages and conditions. The facility uses EPIC as the electronic health record system. Shifts vary based on preference, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week including weekend hours. No call requirements or float assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Work Environment & Details
- Emergency Department with Level 1 Trauma designation
- Treats diverse patient populations (pediatric, adult, geriatric)
- Team-oriented work culture; team player personality fit preferred
- Dress code: scrubs of any color allowed; no unacceptable attire specified
- No float or call requirements
Additional Notes
- Orientation sessions are held weekly on Mondays
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
