Description
Registered Nurse – Medical Oncology
Location: Zanesville, Ohio
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday through Friday)
Hours: 40 hours per week (80 hours per pay period)
Job Summary
- Provide and/or supervise nursing care of patients under the supervision of a medical oncologist.
- Coordinate care planning with other caregivers and departments.
- Adhere to universal precautions and infection control policies.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Deliver direct patient care according to physician orders in a warm and friendly manner.
- Take and record patient measurements or readings.
- Assess patient condition and provide appropriate treatment.
- Administer prescribed medications.
- Provide leadership and collaborate with other caregivers on the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 1 year oncology nursing experience within the last year
Additional Information
- Start date is fixed on August 17th unless the nurse is a returning traveler within 9 months.
- Facility may cancel up to 36 hours during the 13-week contract; these hours may include shifts other than 12-hour shifts.
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at submission and included in the confirmation to be honored.
- Agency contracts must exactly match the confirmation page regarding start/end dates and RTO to maintain vendor status.
