Respiratory Therapist - West Valley, Utah
Job Details
- Location: West Valley, Utah (Salt Lake City area)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, every other weekend
- Hours per week: 36 hours
- Orientation: Week of orientation requires clinician to be in-state (some modules may be remote)
- May require flexible hours beyond standard shifts, including overtime and on-call coverage per department/facility policy
Job Description
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and revise therapy plans as needed
- Conduct diagnostic testing including arterial blood gases (ABGs), pulmonary function tests (PFTs), EKGs, cardiac monitoring, bronchoscopy assistance, and pulse oximetry
- Transport patients within the hospital or between facilities
- May be required to provide on-call coverage outside of scheduled hours
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program (CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential via NBRC
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience preferred
- Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR) preferred
- Valid driver’s license required

- Radius for travel: 60 miles
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime and on-call shifts
- Must be available for week of orientation in-state
