Job Opportunity: Home Health Registered Nurse
Location: Memphis, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Day shift, 40 hours/week)
- On-call requirement: 7-10 on-call shifts per month
- Must be located over 100 miles from the facility
- EPIC experience is required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Minimum 2 years of Home Health nursing experience, with at least some experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Complete background check within 60 days of start covering 7 years of residence and employment history, including statewide, county, and federal searches
- Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (for TN facilities)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and annually thereafter
- Fingerprinting required annually for Home Health RNs, including Mississippi Department of Health fingerprint screening if traveling to MS
- Education verification (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
- Two recent professional references required
- Skills checklist and internal evaluation required annually or after one year with agency
Facility and Documentation Requirements
- Photo for badge: recent (within 6 months), shoulders up, forward facing, no hats/head coverings except for religious reasons, no glasses or glare, no photo filters, no facial piercings
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for RNs; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- Confidentiality acknowledgment must be signed prior to start
- EPIC questionnaire required for RNs; opportunity to test out of EPIC training if experienced
- Submission packet includes application, references, skills checklist, state license verification, and certification information
- Onsite fit test and questionnaire must be completed prior to start
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be prepared for call shifts as part of the role
- Flu exemption requests require detailed documentation and may delay start date
- All certifications must reflect the candidate’s legal name
- Candidates must comply with all health and safety protocols including mask fit testing and immunization requirements
