Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Shift: Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36

Job Summary

Provide comprehensive nursing care on a Geropsychiatric Unit, including:

• Assessing, monitoring, and reporting patient symptoms and condition changes
• Maintaining accurate patient reports and medical histories
• Performing mental and physical assessments
• Administering medications and treatments per physician orders
• Assisting patients with daily activities
• Managing therapeutic milieu activities such as daily groups, education, and one-on-one sessions
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Completing individualized treatment plans upon admission and ongoing
• Planning, implementing, and coordinating nursing care activities
• Conducting therapies aligned with patient diagnoses and needs
• Providing efficient discharge planning and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Hampshire
• Minimum 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• CPI certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Documentation Responsibilities

• Admission paperwork
• Mental and physical assessments
• Progress notes
• Interventions and evaluations
• Discharge paperwork
• Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) data

Additional Information

• Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
• Employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract
