Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Nebraska
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS issued by American Heart Association
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Driver's License

Unit Details

PCU
35 beds
Typical patient ratio: 1:4–5
Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring needs
RN titration of drips is required

Scheduling and Work Expectations

Every other weekend required
Every third holiday required
No call or standby
Floating may include medical floors, ICU, or rehab
First week is onboarding, followed by 1–2 days of unit orientation

Additional Notes

Fast-paced unit
Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
Candidates must live outside the 50-mile radius and may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit
RTO must be submitted upfront; up to 7 days is allowed for the 13-week contract
