Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Los Alamos, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Facility Overview

  • 47-bed acute care facility
  • Major healthcare provider for Northern New Mexico
  • Approximately 300 healthcare employees

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Certifications required at submission (not provided onsite):
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
    • NIH Certification

Additional Requirements

  • Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a traveler
  • New Mexico state fingerprinting and background check required before hire:
    • Fingerprint check must be in process prior to start
    • Travelers may begin work on a 14-day waiver period while awaiting results but must be supervised during this time
  • Orientation is held weekly on Mondays

  • Client may require additional certifications beyond those listed
  • Compliance with New Mexico Department of Health background check procedures is mandatory
