Cath Lab Tech – Travel Position

Location: Newton, New Jersey
Employment Type: Travel – Clinical Allied Health
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (AM)
Hours: Approximately 9 hours/day, 38 hours/week

Job Description

• Prepare and assist with cardiac catheterizations, PCI (STEMI), peripheral vascular procedures, pacemaker insertions, and interventional radiology procedures.
• Monitor, document, and calculate hemodynamic data.
• Provide procedural assistance to physicians before, during, and after procedures.
• Assess and manage access sites and communicate findings to physicians.
• Adhere to on-call protocols for the Cath Lab.
• Prepare patients for procedures.
• STEMI on-call coverage includes 13-15 shifts per month, with 2 weekend shifts (Friday 5pm to Monday 7am).
• Regular weekday schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm, four 9.5-hour shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New Jersey
• Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Experience with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
• High school diploma or GED

Additional Information

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
