Registered Nurse — PCU

Location

Savannah, Georgia

Shift

Nights, 12-hour shifts
36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Active RN license at time of submission
BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience in the last 3 years
Successful completion of at least 1 travel contract
Experience in a hospital of similar size and acuity
Experience with telemetry
Must pass clinical resume review
No license hits; current NURSYS report required at submission

Unit Details

12-bed unit
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4–5 depending on acuity
Combo Med-Surg and Stepdown/PCU unit
Common patient types include Med-Surg, sickle cell, and heart failure
Nurses titrate drips as needed
No phlebotomy; nurses draw their own labs
No tele/monitor techs on unit
Nurses do not read their own strips
Self-scheduling available
Every other weekend required
Holidays required
No call or standby
No floating
Navy scrubs required

Orientation

One day of computer skills training with basic knowledge assessment
Two shifts of orientation with a preceptor

Submission Notes

Local candidates are not accepted due to a strict 100-mile radius rule
Submission must include full availability, requested time off, current same-specialty references, and resume details for recent facilities worked
