Description

Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Location

  • Farmington, New Mexico
  • Level III Trauma Center (performs Level I & II procedures except Open Hearts)
  • Facility serves Four Corners region (NM, AZ, CO, UT)
  • Patient population: Adults with mid to high acuity
  • Facility features: 7 PACU beds, 1:1 to 1:2 patient ratios
  • Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
  • Equipment: Mindray

Position Details

  • Specialty: Phase I Recovery RN in PACU
  • Recovery for General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, Urology, ENT, Robotics
  • Shift: Days, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
  • Weekend and evening on-call required
  • Possible float to PreOp and/or Endoscopy

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Minimum 3 years of PACU (Post Anesthesia Care) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Trauma experience

Additional Information

  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Must be able to clear and start within 10 business days of offer acceptance for rapid start
  • Patient acuity: Mid to high acuity adult patients
  • Preferred additional experience: Pediatric dental recovery
  • Call requirements include weekends and evenings
