Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Shift: Nights
Hours per Day: 12
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
  • May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
  • Work primarily in a Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown) setting.
  • Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
  • Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa.
  • Minimum 2 years of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification.
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Additional Information

  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
  • May be asked to float to the Emergency Department (ED).
  • Standard workweek: 36-40 hours; overtime billable after 40 hours.
  • Holiday and call-back pay multipliers apply.
  • Charge nurse and preceptor pay available.
  • On-call pay provided.

This position offers an opportunity to work nights in a stepdown unit with a supportive interdisciplinary team and requires solid experience in progressive care nursing.
