Registered Nurse – EP Lab

Location: York, Pennsylvania

Job Overview

• Work in invasive Cardiology unit with 4 Cardiac Catheterization Labs and 2 Electrophysiology Labs.
• Unit includes 23 prep/recovery bays and performs over 6,000 advanced cardiovascular procedures annually.
• Procedures include complex coronary interventions, VAD/ECMO support, structural heart procedures (TAVR, left atrial appendage occlusion, PFO/ASD closure, mitral valve clipping), complex ablations, pacemaker/ICD implant/explant, cardioversion, pulmonary artery pressure sensor implantation, peripheral interventions, and pulmonary embolectomy.
• May care for COVID-19 patients.
• Tobacco and fragrance-free facility.

Schedule

• Day shift, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts between 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
• Must be willing to stay until the last patient is cared for.
• No call, no weekends, no holidays.
• Floating as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience within the last year
• Electrophysiology Lab experience
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Onboarding & Compliance Requirements

• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG, and Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start).
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) Search required within 3 business days prior to start and renewed every 5 years.
• PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days.
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required.
• Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (for agency use only).
• Physical exam and medical statement signed by MD, DO, PA, or NP within 90 days of start.
• Fit mask testing within 1 year, updated annually; PAPR training if fit test failed.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • TDAP within 10 years
  • Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days (PPD not accepted)
  • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: 2 doses vaccine or positive titer; boosters required if titers negative/equivocal
  • Hepatitis B: full vaccine series or positive titer preferred; declination form required for all candidates
  • Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccine or valid exemption/declination
• Completion of required facility-specific documents including photo for badge, confidentiality agreement, code of conduct, non-employee affidavit, and commitment to health & wellness.
• Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start.
• Pass/fail Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Acknowledgement of pass/fail testing required within 48 hours of contract signing.

• Maximum return to office (RTO) time: 7 days.
• Manager interview required after clinical screening.
• Floating may be required as needed.
• No weekends, holidays, or call shifts.
• Facility is tobacco and fragrance free; candidates should be notified prior to submission.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a high-volume, advanced cardiovascular invasive cardiology setting with a focus on EP and cardiac cath lab procedures. Candidates must be competent in EP Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab skills and comfortable with EPIC documentation.
