Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab
Location
- Lewisburg, Pennsylvania
Employment Type
- Travel/Contract
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- One Saturday per month, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with a compensatory day off during the same week
- Sunday coverage only if needed for orthopedic post-operative patients not discharged on Saturday (usually covered by other staff)
- Alternative schedule option: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Job Description
- Work in a Pre-Screen Unit where clinical fit will be assessed before final manager interview and decision
- May care for COVID-19 patients
- Tobacco and fragrance-free facility environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Pennsylvania
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if applicable (refer to unit/job description)
- Other certifications as applicable per unit/job description
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year criminal background check required within 30 days of start; updated annually
- Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search required within 1 year of start; must be finalized prior to start
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse (Childline) Search required 3 business days prior to start; renewed every 5 years
- PA FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days; renewed every 5 years
- Employment application and 2 professional references within 3 years required
- Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts required
- Drug testing: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (for agency use only)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
- Fit mask testing within 1 year of start; updated annually (specific 3M mask models required)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days of start; PPD not accepted
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella: Vaccines (2 doses) or positive titer required; boosters required if titers negative or equivocal; exemptions require approval
- Hepatitis B: Full vaccine series or positive titer preferred; declination form required for all candidates
- Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
- COVID-19 vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption or declination accepted
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Clear, passport-style photo for badge (no masks, hats, sunglasses; religious headwear allowed)
- Completion and signing of facility-specific documents including:
- Medical Statement Non-Employee Ability to Work form
- Commitment to Health & Wellness
- Code of Conduct
- Confidentiality Agreement
- Non-Employee Affidavit
- Hepatitis B Declination form
- Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
- Review of facility’s policies and procedures ("Wellspan Way" description)
Orientation and Training
- Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones)
- New Hire Orientation must be completed by the end of the first day of orientation
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required within 72 hours of contract signing (pass/fail process applies)
- Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
Additional Information
- Return to Office (RTO) requirement: maximum 7 days
- No call or floating requirements
- Holidays as needed
