Description
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit RN
Location
- Quincy, Illinois
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Schedule
- Nights
- 12-hour shifts
- Blocked weekender schedule
- One day and one night position available
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of CVICU experience
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
- Experience pulling sheaths
Preferred Experience
- Open heart experience
- Experience pulling sheaths
- CRRT experience
- Level 2 trauma experience or above
Clinical Details
- Patient population includes post-PCI, post-bypass, and CHF
- RNs are required to titrate drips
- RNs interpret strips
- Tele monitor tech monitors the unit
- 24/7 intensivist/hospitalist coverage
- Respiratory therapy is assigned 24/7 to ICU/PCU
Additional Notes
- 4 hours of billable computer modules are required before start and should be added to the first week’s timesheet

About
Quincy is steeped in a rich history, revealed in its more than 3,600 buildings on the National Register of Historic Places.
