Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Telemetry (Nights)
Location: Sioux City, Iowa
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
- Patient ratio: 4-5 patients during days, 5-6 patients during nights.
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts.
- Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Iowa.
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- One completed travel nursing assignment.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- NIHSS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Record system.
Orientation
- Orientation sessions are scheduled regularly, approximately every two weeks from March through December.
Additional Information
- Overtime and holiday pay multipliers apply (not detailed here).
- Call back and on-call pay available (details excluded).
- Charge/preceptor pay available (details excluded).
- Weekly hours: 36-40 hours standard, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
This position is ideal for experienced travel nurses seeking night shifts in Med Surg/Telemetry with EPIC experience and prior travel contract completion.
