Medical Surgical Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job – Saint Cloud, Minnesota

Position Details

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical)
• Location: Saint Cloud, Minnesota
• Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Unit: Post-op Surgical Care Unit providing care for General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology (non-mom/baby), and Trauma
• Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Magnet recognized, Teaching hospital, Level II Trauma center
• Charting System: Epic
• Floating: May float to other similar units as needed
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Locals: Candidates living within 25 miles of the facility are not eligible

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience, with recent Med Surg experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

• Return to Origin (RTO) Restrictions:

  • No RTO within the first week of assignment
  • Maximum 10 days of RTO allowed per assignment
• Photo for Badge: Required with grey background, no selfies or professional photos unless headshot, saved as JPG with candidate’s name
• Dress Code: Review required prior to start; scrubs color per facility guidelines
• Orientation: Education modules (~16 hours) completed during orientation except for some locations where pre-start completion is required
• Confidentiality Agreement: Must be signed prior to start
• Badge Return: Badges must be returned to manager on last day of assignment

Important Notes

• Candidates must complete the Minnesota DHS Net Study Questionnaire immediately after signing the contract to initiate fingerprinting.
• Fingerprinting must be completed within 2 weeks of registration.
• Candidates unable to access local livescan fingerprinting must travel to a location prior to assignment start.
• Candidates cannot start without required clearances and documentation.
• No local candidates within 25 miles accepted for this travel assignment.

This position is ideal for experienced Med Surg RNs seeking a travel contract in a Magnet, Level II Trauma acute care hospital with a focus on post-operative surgical care. Night shift availability and flexibility to float to similar units are required.
