Job Overview

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
Preferred
- CCRN
- Meditech experience
Unit Details
- ICU assignments are based on acuity and skills
- Floating as needed
- Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE cardiac output monitor
Procedures / Patient Care
- Central line placements
- Bedside thoracentesis
- Dialysis catheter placements
- Cardioversions
- Intubations
- MICU/MSICU patient experience
Dress Code
- Royal blue scrubs
- Clean, healthy nails; no artificial nails, gel, or next-gen nails
- Neat, clean hair; no extreme styles or colors
- Beards, mustaches, and sideburns must be clean and neatly trimmed
- Hair must be pulled back if shoulder length or longer when working in the lab
- Visible piercings other than ears are not allowed
- Tattoos should be covered whenever possible
