Labor and Delivery RN

Job Overview

  • Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12s, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
  • Schedule notes: Weekends required; block scheduling requests cannot be accommodated
  • Other notes: Must be willing to float if needed; no locals within a 50-mile radius

Required Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • NRP issued by American Heart Association
  • CPI

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide direct care to obstetrical patients
  • Perform assessments, administer medications, carry out provider orders, evaluate patient response, document care, and communicate with the care team

Unit Details

  • 10-bed unit
  • Patient-to-nurse ratio varies by stage of labor, from 1:1 to 1:4

Preferred

  • Meditech experience

Additional Notes

  • Candidates will be reviewed/interviewed by the manager
  • RTO must be included in the submission to be honored at offer time
