Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Arizona
  • Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
  • Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Trauma experience
  • Experience with Epic

Schedule Requirements

  • Every other weekend
  • Typically 2 of 3 holidays
  • No blocked scheduling requests
  • No more than 5 days of requested time off

Assignment Details

  • 36 hours per week
  • Low census on-call may be required
  • Floating may include Med Surg, stable low-acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU
  • Dedicated monitor tech on the unit; travelers do not need to read telemetry

Unit Notes

  • Med Surg / Tele unit with 90 double-occupancy beds
  • Common patient types include pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, and occasional lap chole and appendectomy
  • Heparin and Lasix infusions are non-titrated
  • Respiratory equipment includes BiPAP and stable trachs
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios: days 1:5-6, nights 1:6
