Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Trauma experience
- Experience with Epic
Schedule Requirements
- Every other weekend
- Typically 2 of 3 holidays
- No blocked scheduling requests
- No more than 5 days of requested time off
Assignment Details
- 36 hours per week
- Low census on-call may be required
- Floating may include Med Surg, stable low-acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU
- Dedicated monitor tech on the unit; travelers do not need to read telemetry
Unit Notes
- Med Surg / Tele unit with 90 double-occupancy beds
- Common patient types include pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, and occasional lap chole and appendectomy
- Heparin and Lasix infusions are non-titrated
- Respiratory equipment includes BiPAP and stable trachs
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: days 1:5-6, nights 1:6
