Description

Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Maryville, Tennessee
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

Work primarily on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit with patient diagnoses including higher oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation, and post-heart catheterization care.
Unit functions as a step-down from ICU; no ventilator or pressor support required.
Manage drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and sotalol initiation.
Telemetry monitoring is part of the role.
Floating to similar units may be required.
Weekend coverage every other weekend, subject to change based on need.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee.
Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Current certifications:
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system.
