Job Overview
- Location: Lubbock, Texas
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours
- Hours per week: 36
- Setting: Short-term acute care hospital
- Bed size: 379 staffed beds
- Trauma level: Level II Trauma Center
Schedule and Work Conditions
- Floating between units is required.
- Weekends are required: 5–6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule.
- On-call is not required.
- Block scheduling is not required.
- Patient ratio is 1:5–6.
- 48-hour workweeks are not approved.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- 1 year of Med Surg experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NURSYS verification
- Skills checklist
- Minimum of 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment
- Background check
- Education verification
- Drug screen
- Physical exam
- Fit mask clearance
- TB clearance
- Tdap documentation
- Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation
- Hepatitis B documentation
- Varicella immunity documentation
- Flu vaccination or declination during flu season
