RN - PCU

Overview

Travel RN position in Florence, Alabama
Specialty: Critical Care Stepdown
Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
Weekend requirement: every other weekend
Call: none
Float: possibly to med-surg, but not likely
Weekly orientation on Mondays

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Alabama
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS
ACLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac drips experience
Chest tube experience

Preferred Experience

Critical care stepdown/PCU experience
Experience with cardiac drips, chest tubes, and TR bands

Unit Details

31-bed unit
Patient ratio: 1:4-1:5
Adult and geriatric patient population
Common cases include post vascular, post CABG, CVA, respiratory failure, heart failure, and chest pain/post cath lab

Additional Notes

Must be kind, respectful, a team player, punctual, and flexible
Scrub color: royal blue
