Certified Surgical Technologist

Overview

Travel assignment in Anchorage, Alaska
Specialty: Operating Room surgical technology
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Hours per week: 36
On-call required

Required Qualifications

Surgical Technologist with 2 years of experience
Surgical Technologist experience within the last year
BLS
NBSTSA or CST
DaVinci Xi Robotic experience
Spinal Fusion experience
Orthopedics experience including Total Joint Arthroplasty

Experience / Case Mix

Experience with DaVinci Xi robotic cases
Experience with spinal fusion cases
Experience with orthopedic and neuro cases
Experience with total joint arthroplasty
Heavy ortho, neuro, and spine experience required

Unit / Work Setting

Operating room with 11 ORs
Typical procedures include total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi robotic cases such as GYN, colorectal, and general surgery
Very little ENT, dental, eye, or plastics cases

Schedule / Call

Three 12-hour shifts
Call averages about 5 to 6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week period
