Ultrasound Tech

Location

North Bergen, New Jersey

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 40 hours per week
  • Weekend work required

Required Qualifications

  • Ultrasound Technologist with 2 years of experience
  • Ultrasound Technologist experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • RDMS
  • ARDMS
  • Two years of training in Allied Health or college
  • Breast ultrasound imaging and scanning techniques
  • Breast anatomy and pathology knowledge
  • Identification of benign and malignant breast findings
  • Image optimization and quality assurance
  • Breast lesion measurement and documentation
  • Targeted breast ultrasound examinations
  • Axillary ultrasound evaluation
  • Ultrasound-guided breast biopsy assistance
  • Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedure support
  • Cyst aspiration procedure support

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and portable ultrasound exams
  • Prepare patients and explain procedures
  • Evaluate image quality and obtain/process images
  • Assist physician with biopsy and deep abdominal studies as needed
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment
  • Clean, sterilize, stock, and replenish supplies
  • Maintain records and manage image archiving/de-archiving
  • Provide technical assistance and instruction to students, employees, and medical residents
  • Follow scheduled shifts, overtime as needed, and on-call assignments per department policy
