ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Belleville, Illinois
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 18:45 - 7:15)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with floating to Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) as needed
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:2
• Weekend requirement: Yes, working 3 out of every 6 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
• Start date: Approximately 3-4 weeks from offer due to compliance processing
• First-time travelers: Not accepted
• Locals accepted if within 75-mile radius (local rate applies)
• No pending licenses accepted
• Return-to-Office (RTO) restrictions: No more than 7 days off allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing experience, with ICU experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certifications:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Additional Requirements

• Must complete facility-specific compliance documents prior to start, including:

  • HIPAA Acknowledgement
  • Latex Allergy Questionnaire
  • Confidentiality Form
  • Regulatory Compliance Education (annual quiz with minimum 80% score)
  • Hand Hygiene, Fingernail, and Dress Code policies acknowledgment
  • Orientation modules (approximately 16 hours) completed through online platform before start
• Badge photo required (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions, taken within 6 months)
• No on-call duties required
• Floating within scope to IMCU and ICU units as needed
