Interventional Radiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Roanoke, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Weekend Coverage: Possible weekend shifts required
  • Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract (rotational)
  • Call Off Policy: Allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
  • Charting System: Epic experience required
  • Locals: Not accepted (radius restrictions apply)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Virginia
  • Interventional Radiology Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
  • ARRT Registered in Cardiovascular (CV) or Vascular Interventional (VI) Radiology
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Unit & Facility Information

  • Work in an inpatient/outpatient Interventional Radiology department
  • Department includes 4 angiography suites (2 single-plane, 2 biplane)
  • Access to 1 dedicated CT scanner and 1 multipurpose fluoroscopy suite for pain management

Required Documentation & Compliance

  • Valid Driver’s License/State ID with an address within 100 miles of the facility required within 48 hours of signing
  • E-Verify or attestation required
  • 7-year background check covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years (not required annually unless there is a 30+ day break in assignments)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
  • Education verification of highest earned degree required
  • Physical exam within 1 year confirming freedom from communicable diseases
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year, updated annually
  • Fit mask test within 1 year, updated annually (onsite fit testing possible if needed)
  • Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
  • Immunizations or positive titers required for: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Flu vaccination documentation or signed declination form required during flu season
  • Professional photo for badge required (no selfies or filters, plain background)
  • Completion of new hire paperwork and compliance checklists prior to start
  • References: 2 clinical references required (hospital evaluations accepted)
  • Employment application/resume required
  • Annual skills checklist update required

Additional Notes

  • Candidates must submit all scheduling requests with their application
  • Facility may require completion of orientation and safety manuals prior to start
  • VA State Police Search completed onsite on first day of orientation for certain candidates; no pre-start action required for this role
  • Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position

This position offers the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, technologically advanced Interventional Radiology environment with a focus on neuro and peripheral vascular procedures.
