Schedule

Night shift, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Illinois
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for ICU patients using the nursing process
• Complete patient assessments, develop care plans, and update them as patient needs change
• Document nursing care accurately and maintain communication with the healthcare team
• Support patient and staff safety by reporting or correcting hazards and incidents
• Assist with ventilated patients, intubation, central line insertions, and arterial line insertion and care
• Delegate tasks to nursing assistants and validate completion of assigned work
• Use critical thinking and nursing judgment to respond to changes in patient condition
