RN - Oncology
Overview
- Location: Denver, Colorado
- Employment type: Travel
- Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Setting: Outpatient clinic
Role Summary
- Provide patient care, symptom management, and patient education for radiation therapy
- Support patients experiencing radiation side effects such as skin changes and fatigue
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Oncology experience within the last year
- 1 year of oncology experience
- BLS
- OCN
- Chemo Certification
Preferred Experience
- Radiation Oncology experience
- Prior Meditech experience
Work Environment
- Small outpatient unit with 4 exam rooms
- Day shift staffing includes 1 to 2 RNs, a director who is also an RN, 1 Gamma Knife RN, 2 front office team members, 2 physicists, and 3 physicians
- Estimated patient ratio is 1 to 2 patients per RN
- Night shift is closed

- Compassion and adaptability are important for this role
- The team is growing, with construction expansion and new equipment planned for next year
