Description

Surgical Tech

Location: Lincoln, Nebraska
Facility: Bryan East Campus
Shift: Days
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • Associate’s Degree in Surgical Technology, or completion of a Surgical Technology program
  • 3 years of experience in a busy surgical area (Level II or higher)
  • Previous travel experience required

Preferred Qualifications

  • CST preferred

Clinical Experience

  • General: robotic and open procedures
  • Orthopedics: fractures, total joints
  • ENT: pediatrics, T&A, BMT, parathyroid, thyroid, neck, ear, sinus procedures
  • Vascular: carotid, AAA, hybrid cases, open procedures
  • Robotics: da Vinci XI
  • GYN and Urology: robotic and open procedures
  • Dental and plastics experience preferred

Schedule Details

  • Start/end of shift may vary by 30 minutes
  • Call required, in rotation
  • Up to 2 weekends per 13 weeks, which may include a mix of call and regular shifts

Additional Notes

  • Local candidates are not accepted within a 50-mile radius
  • 12 hours of non-billable orientation
  • Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
  • Submission must disclose any prior employment with Bryan Health; if previously employed, there must be an end date at least 12 months before submission
