Job Overview

• Title: RN Operating Room – Pediatrics
• Location: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Hours per week: 36
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Role Summary

Provides competent clinical nursing care in a hospital setting, coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process.

Required Qualifications

• License: Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Experience: 1 year of Pediatrics OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• Education: Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Certification: BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate patient care
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide education support
• Evaluate care plans and communicate relevant information to support continuity of care
• Provide care for patients with complex physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as needed
• Prioritize care, collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, and support discharge planning
• Contribute to unit goals, performance improvement, and safe hospital environment practices
