  • Emergency Department
  • 22 beds
  • 55 staff members
  • Patient ratio: 4:1

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • ED - Emergency Department (5 years of experience)
  • ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • CPI
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Meditech documentation system experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish

Key Clinical Experience

  • Trauma and cardiac alert care, including STEMI, stroke, and sepsis patients
  • Strong triage and critical thinking skills

Common Procedures / Responsibilities

  • IV insertion, medication administration, EKGs, splinting, and wound care
  • Moderate sedation for procedures such as reductions or cardioversion
  • Assisting with intubation, CPR, rapid sequence intubation, and code response
  • Transport preparation and coordination for higher levels of care
  • Triage assessment and prioritization using ESI guidelines
  • Isolation and infection control protocols
  • Documentation and reassessment in a fast-paced environment
