Description

Cardiac Sonographer

Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week

Overview

Perform cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound procedures and acquire echocardiographic and/or vascular data. The role also includes providing education and training in ultrasound procedures for fellows, interns, and other staff.

Required Qualifications

  • Cardiac Sonographer (3 years of experience)
  • Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
  • 2 or more years of total travel experience
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ARDMS or CCI
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Prior cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound experience in a health care environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program
  • Ability to think deductively and make clinical decisions
  • Experience with typical office equipment
  • Experience with ultrasound equipment, transesophageal transducers, research computer systems, hospital information systems, and digital echo storage systems
  • Knowledge of the cardiovascular and vascular circulatory systems, including physics and blood flow hemodynamics

  • 12 hours of non-billable orientation
  • Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
  • Call may be required
  • Local candidates are not accepted; 100-mile radius restriction applies
