Description
Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Omaha, Nebraska
Specialty: Cardiac Sonographer
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
Overview
Perform cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound procedures and acquire echocardiographic and/or vascular data. The role also includes providing education and training in ultrasound procedures for fellows, interns, and other staff.
Required Qualifications
- Cardiac Sonographer (3 years of experience)
- Cardiac Sonographer experience within the last year
- 2 or more years of total travel experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ARDMS or CCI
- High school education or equivalent
- Prior cardiac and/or vascular ultrasound experience in a health care environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s degree from an accredited cardiac ultrasound program
- Ability to think deductively and make clinical decisions
- Experience with typical office equipment
- Experience with ultrasound equipment, transesophageal transducers, research computer systems, hospital information systems, and digital echo storage systems
- Knowledge of the cardiovascular and vascular circulatory systems, including physics and blood flow hemodynamics

- 12 hours of non-billable orientation
- Guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation
