Description
RN - Med Surg
Overview
- Travel assignment in Portsmouth, New Hampshire
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours per week
- 3 x 12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Self-scheduling available, with schedule balancing at leadership discretion
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Hampshire
- Med Surg experience: 2 years
- Med Surg experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- IV certification
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in an inpatient setting
Unit Details
- Medical-surgical unit
- 36 beds
- Typical patient ratio: 1:6, with occasional 1:7 during surge
- Float to same level of care
Clinical Focus
- Telemetry monitoring
- EKGs as needed
- CBI
- Wound care
- Drain management, including chest tubes and Jackson-Pratt drains
- Foley insertion
- Central line dressing changes
Work Environment
- Unit secretary on day shift only
- LNA support on both shifts
- Scrubs in any color are required
