PCU RN

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Overland Park, Kansas
  • Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Float pool position; no home unit assigned
  • May float between multiple Med/Surg Intermediate/PCU units and to other metro campuses as needed
  • Patient ratio: 1:5

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Kansas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Telemetry experience
  • Med Surg experience
  • Pending license not accepted
  • Must live at least 75 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACLS

Schedule Requirements

  • 8 weekend shifts in each 6-week schedule period
  • Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
  • No block scheduling
  • No on-call requirement
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off
