Scrub Tech
Location
Chula Vista, California
Contract Length
13 weeks
Schedule
- 12-hour day shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Scheduled two shifts every other weekend
- On-call: 12 hours on weekends and 20 hours on weekdays in a 4-week period, with a 30-minute response time
Required Qualifications
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- 3 years of CVOR Technologist experience
- BLS
- Experience in a hospital setting
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience
- Orthopedic Technologist experience
- Intraoperative Neuromonitoring Technologist experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrub Tech certification preferred
- Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care duties and unit support in the operating room suite
- Assist with dressings and/or cast application at the end of procedures
- Pick cases following physician preference cards
- Maintain count accuracy and instrument tray accountability
- Update surgeon preference cards per site-specific processes
- Support process improvement, cost containment suggestions, and teaching
- Work additional or different shifts when requested
