Job Overview
- Location: Chula Vista, California
- Employment type: Travel allied clinical role
- Schedule: 12-hour day shifts
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- CVOR Technologist with 3 years of experience
- CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
- BLS
- Heart surgery proficiency
- Orthopedic surgery proficiency
- Neurosurgery proficiency
- Robotic surgery proficiency
- Certified Surgical Technologist experience
- Orthopedic Technologist experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrub Tech Certification
- Approved program for Operating Room Technicians or demonstrated technical skills through on-the-job training
Role Summary
- Provides patient care and unit support in the operating room suite
- Assists with surgical procedures, including anticipating case needs, handling counts, maintaining instrument tray accountability, and updating surgeon preference cards
- Participates in teaching, process improvement, and cost-containment suggestions
- May be assigned additional shifts and on-call coverage, including weekend and weekday call with a 30-minute response time
