RN - Endo
Overview
- Location: Lafayette, Colorado
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Schedule: Variable 10-hour shifts; days or 4-9 hour shifts
- Weekly hours: 36
- Call: Required, including weekday and weekend call
- Weekends: Yes
- Floating: May float within the perioperative area and occasionally to other nursing units within scope
Role Summary
Registered Nurse responsible for the nursing care and safety of patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Endoscopy experience within the last year
- 1 or more years of experience
- Experience with GI equipment technical operation
- ERCP and EUS equipment skills

- Reading and interpreting clinical, safety, and procedure-related documents

- Problem solving and basic math skills
- Ability to work on-site during regularly scheduled shifts
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and procedure requirements
- Develop, implement, and communicate plans of care
- Monitor aseptic practice and correct breaks in technique
- Support and educate patients and families
- Evaluate nursing care quality and participate in improvement efforts
- Document equipment use and supply consumption
- Assist with inventory management
