Description

Travel Registered Nurse — Labor & Delivery

Location

  • Grand Island, Nebraska

Assignment Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Every other weekend
  • Holiday coverage as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • BLS certification
  • NRP certification
  • Minimum 3 years of labor and delivery experience
  • Driver’s license required at submittal

Unit Details

  • Labor and delivery / LDRP setting
  • 15 LDRP beds
  • Approximately 400 births per year
  • Patient population includes obstetrics, postpartum, antepartum, post-surgical GYN, and pregnancy with hypertension or diabetes
  • RN titration of drips is required
  • Common drips include Pitocin, Mag, and Procardia

Work Expectations

  • Flexible for every-other-weekend rotation
  • Floating is rare and limited to sit or task support if needed
  • One week of classroom orientation plus 2–3 shifts on the floor
  • Pass/fail open-book exam during orientation

Additional Notes

  • Artificial nails are prohibited in patient care areas
  • RTO must be submitted upfront; additional RTO will not be approved
  • Candidate must not be currently working full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity
  • Candidate must live outside the 50-mile radius rule
