Telemetry Nurse
Overview
- Location: Frederick, Maryland
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Weekly hours: 36
- Unit setting: Progressive Care / Telemetry
Unit Details
- Adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring and closer observation than a medical-surgical unit
- Typical telemetry ratio: 1:5, maximum 1:6
- PCU ratio: 1:4
- Common diagnoses include CHF, NSTEMI, pre-cardiac catheterization, stroke, pulmonary disorders, diabetes, multisystem disease, and post-surgical care
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maryland
- Telemetry experience with 3 years of experience
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
